In 1907, Rep. Isauro Gabaldon authored Act 1801 allocating P1 million for the construction of schools all over the country. These buildings are today generically referred to as Gabaldon Schoolhouses. They can be found nationwide and form an inherent part of the built heritage resources of the Philippines.

Wow what a very beautiful classrooms, looks so very neat. Sana maging kagaya ng mga nasa gobyerno na maging malinis. Because there's a lot of corruptions happening in our current administration. Grabe talaga lantaran na ang pagnanakaw. Anyway thanks for your beautiful posting of Bontoc Central School of Mountain Province. Keep up the good work.

Hi Sir, I am Joel Fagsao of Bontoc, Mountain Province. I was a product of Bontoc Central School graduating in 1978. I didn't realize the significance of the school building until I came across this site. I am including the school as part of a must place to visit for those coming to my hometown. I have included it in the section "Where to Go" in the website I created- www.bontoctourism.com ; maraming salamat.
The establishment of this school in a mountainous province was necessary to meet the needs of local students. It has become very convenient to visit it.
